Join Alexa and Monja to one of the most beautiful coasts in Europe to recharge yourself with the practice of Yoga & Meditation, healthy vegetarian food, fun outdoor activities and lots of resting time in nature. Enjoy a week with like-minded people at this magical place called Monte Velho Eco Retreat.
Practice daily twice Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation with Alexa and Monja. They both teach a meditative Vinyasa (slow) flow style which focuses on mindful alignment, intelligent sequencing and most importantly, the breath. Their classes are a moving meditation between strength and relaxation to find inner balance and space within. The main focus is always the breath in order to touch deeper layers within to connect to your true Self. Both know how to support and honor each student – from beginner to seasoned practitioner. They will create a save space for you to have a real and empowering experience to find peace within.
Besides the daily yoga classes in the mornings and late afternoons, there is a lot to explore and do in your free time: Surf Classes*, therapeutic Horseback Riding*, Diving*, Nature Walks, etc. You can basically experience the livelihood and variety of Portugal directly in front of your doorsteps.
However, the retreat is mostly an invitation to simply relax in nature, do nothing and use the time to rejuvenate yourself. In the main house, you can even enjoy a Spa with Sauna and Massage*.
The retreat language is German and English.

Alexa has been teaching yoga over ten years now. She did her training at Spirit Yoga (Berlin) and at Inner Axis with Max Strom. She continues to be a student until this point and is grateful for her teachers like Ganesh Mohan, Tias Little and Donna Fahri.
It is Alexa‘s endeavor to honor each student’s uniqueness and to provide space for their own experience. As a yoga teacher, she sees herself mostly as a companion who guides students to trust and follow their own intuition and body awareness in order to become free and independent.
Alexa’s classes are characterized by conscious breathe, mindfulness, creativity and clarity. It’s not about performance or self optimization, but rather about expanded mindfulness in order to experience and live the state of Yoga in your own body.
Monja is an advanced certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher (800hrs+ Jivamukti Yoga, Kula Yoga NYC, Prenatal Khalsa Way), currently based in Berlin. She has taught yoga across many studios in NYC, Munich, London & Berlin and continues to teach workshops and retreats in Europe and US.
Monja began her yoga practice 16 years ago and has been teaching yoga for over 13 years now. As a former contemporary dancer, she teaches a mindful, creative & uplifting vinyasa flow that focuses on intention, breath, alignment and grace. In her unique classes, she encourages students through her spiritual teachings to create space within, trust their own intuition and connect with their true nature. Monja’s wish is to impart to her students the many gifts she has received through her ongoing practice and studies – a greater sense of presence, inner strength, grace, authenticity, love and compassion for all living beings.
